Webinar: From Lean Six Sigma to Business Execution

May 11th, 2011

If you’re running operational excellence programs and need inspiration for how to better align your Lean Six Sigma initiatives with your organization’s strategic objectives, then this webinar presented by i-nexus CEO and founder, Paul Docherty, is not to be missed.

Ten years ago, the primary focus of executives leading op ex programs in large organizations was how to effectively scale their Lean Six Sigma initiatives to maximize return on their investment. Today it’s a very different story as executives are now wrestling with the added demands of making their Lean Six Sigma efforts sustainable, and more importantly, ensuring that they are in line with strategy execution requirements.

Join Paul on Wednesday 25th May as he sets out how the emerging discipline of Business Execution can help address today’s challenges. Paul will share his experiences of how leading global organizations are making their Lean Six Sigma efforts more strategy-focussed and sustainable by integrating them with Hoshin Planning and Balanced Scorecards. He will outline how, by doing so, these organizations are successfully creating robust, closed-loop Business Execution systems with which to effectively execute their strategies.

Focusing on the experiences of early adopters, Paul will also highlight what you need to put in place to successfully implement Business Execution, and how you can best assess your readiness to take the next step.

Register for the webinar on Wednesday 25th May, 10-11am ET/ 3-4pm BST, at http://www.i-nexus.com/news/lean-six-sigma-webinar.html.

Getting things done with Business Execution

March 31st, 2011

In a typical organisation, strategy is usually mapped out by a few people at a senior level but delivered by 100s if not 1000s at all levels throughout the organisation. Herein lies the fundamental challenge of ensuring that everyone involved in delivering on the strategy receives the same execution-based message. A recent Harvard Business Report study by Kaplan and Norton concludes that less than 10% of organisations consistently deliver on their financial goals, highlighting that execution is something most definitely easier said than done.

Business Execution is an emerging discipline that is transforming the way leading organisations such as Pfizer and Nestle are driving execution today. This discipline is the basis on which leading software provider i-nexus has developed its Business Execution suite, an on-demand platform that aims to close the ‘execution gap’ in organisations by aligning the efforts of employees at all levels in pursuit of common goals. It transforms an organisation’s practice and performance by integrating core planning and execution processes into a closed-loop cycle that creates strong links between strategy and action. Business Execution is underpinned by three of the most widely adopted best-practice management frameworks: Hoshin Planning, Lean Six Sigma and Balanced Scorecard.

CEO and co-founder of i-nexus, Paul Docherty, has great understanding of the challenges faced by senior executives and CEOs today from his work coaching senior management teams in Global 500 companies. He explains: “What we see time and time again are situations where the measurements are in place for organisational tasks, but what’s clearly missing is linkage. Without the ability to link actions to outcomes it is almost impossible to check that the actions being taken at any given time are still the ones that will ‘turn the dials’ and deliver the business objectives at the end of the financial year.

“Business Execution allows organisations to improve on their ability to execute, often speeding up the process of execution and consequently bringing forward the delivery of strategy, whilst providing better agility to react to any warning signs.

“Ultimately, organisations that implement robust Business Execution systems dramatically raise the probability that they will achieve the goals they communicate to external stakeholders.”

March 9th, 2011

Business Execution software specialist, i-nexus, is looking ahead to a positive 2011 on the back of an exceptional year of growth in 2010.

The fast-growing software provider, who celebrates 10 successful years this year, highlights increased ROI from existing customers alongside the addition of global leaders such as Best Buy and 3M to its client portfolio as key factors in achieving 40% growth year on year. Significant investment in R&D also saw i-nexus introduce new software solutions for Capital Expenditure, Benefits Tracking and Carbon and Energy Management to its Business Execution software category.

One of the key drivers of success was the growing recognition of Business Execution as a proven methodology for driving better execution, by linking strategy to execution. i-nexus co-founder and CEO, Paul Docherty, commented: “Business Execution is now starting to take its rightful place in the strategy deployment arena. In the 10 years that i-nexus has been in business, we have driven this software category forward to a position where we are now one of the leaders in this emerging field.”

“Our involvement with Welsh Health Supplies in the public sector has also re-affirmed our belief that i-nexus can play an important role in bringing about cost savings through increased efficiencies, as opposed to cutting frontline services.”

Looking forward to 2011, i-nexus will continue its significant investment levels in software alongside working with existing customers on joint development projects.
