Business Execution Podcast

Research carried out with CEOs of leading organizations confirms that "execution" is their number one priority - and often their number one concern. With lack of clarity around strategy, the need for clearer definition of roles and responsibilities, and a difficulty to link actions to outcomes, there is a real need for a systematic approach to the delivery of business goals.

In this 20 minute Podcast, Genna Weiss of Six Sigma & Process Excellence IQ speaks with Paul Docherty, co-founder and CEO of i-nexus, a leading provider of on-demand business execution software, about the issues facing business leaders and the tools available to help deliver results.

How Do You Make Your Lean Six Sigma Program Your CEO's #1 Priority?

How do you get the C-suite to sit up and take notice of Lean Six Sigma? The reality is that many CEO's give Lean Six Sigma their tacit support with one eye to the fact their competitors are doing it so they better be seen by the market to be doing something too. But as Lean Six Sigma practitioners know, Lean Six Sigma only has the potential to transform the performance of any organization if it gets the right amount of top management mind and wallet share.

In this podcast, Paul Docherty - an expert in  the new Business Execution phenomenon - explains how to use Business Execution principles to make your CEO your biggest supporter.

SaaS for Successful Business Execution

A recent survey conducted by i-nexus and PEX suggested that over 80% of companies were using spreadsheets to manage each stage of the business execution process; planning and cascading business goals, driving execution of strategic initiatives, and tracking the impacts of those initiatives on business goals. Business Execution software specialist i-nexus says that such tools are not really fit for purpose for such important processes and that there are other alternative solutions that can deliver substantial benefits.

Software as a Service (SaaS) is one of a number of cloud-based services to which a few forward thinking companies are turning to for managing the many processes involved in successful Business Execution. SaaS is typically hosted by a third party supplier - on a subscription basis. Business users can get on demand access to the application from anywhere they're logging in, while IT departments don't have to put in the same levels of support or investment that deploying business software normally entails.

In this Process Perspectives podcast, Grant Crow, Chief Operating Officer at i-nexus, discusses the origins and drivers for adopting a Software as a Service model. He also looks at the barriers to using SaaS and comments on how the approach is changing the way that businesses operate and offering them the ability to respond to changes with increasing agility.
